| In cooperation with the Fourth Ward School, the Nevada Civil War Volunteers proudly sponsor the 21st Annual Virginia City Heritage Weekend. The Nevada Civil War Volunteers will conduct living history presentation and Victorian Fashion Show at the 4th Ward School from 2:00-3:00PM followed by the Memorial Silver Tea from 3:00-4:00PM. | |

| The Nevada Civil War Volunteers present a living-history encampment of union, confederate, and civilian lifestyles of 1864. The daily routines of soldiers and civilians are portrayed. Infantry drill in maneuver, manual of arms, and bayonet. Artillery drill in the operation of rifled and smoothbore artillery pieces. Civilians manufacture their own clothing, toys for their children, and other home furnishings and necessities from raw materials. Soldiers and civilians prepare meals over open fires and perform the many other functions of camp and garrison life. | |

| The Carson City Rendezvous is sponsored by the Carson City Convention and Visitors' Bureau. We, the Nevada Civil War Volunteers, as well as other reenacting organizations and crafters (both period and non-period) are invited to participate. Set up for the rendezvous is Friday, June 10. On June 11, opening ceremonies will begin at 10:00 AM with a flag ceremony, gun salute, and speeches by President Lincoln, Kit Carson, and other dignitaries. The Nevada Civil War Volunteers present living-history encampments of union, confederate, and civilian lifestyles of 1863-5. We also invite other Civil War organizations such as the ACWA, CHAS, ICWV, NCWA, RACW, UCWA, &c, to setup their camps and engage in battle skirmishes. This year, in addition to our living-history activities, we will be holding a 1860s Victorian dance Saturday evening at 7:00 PM. | |

| The Nevada Civil War Volunteers celebrate the 142nd Anniversary of Nevada statehood with their participation at the 1864 Governor's Ball. Dress in Victorian, Western, or Formal Attire. Tickets are Tax Deductible, $37.50 per ticket; with a group of 6 or more receive at discount of $5.00 per couple. All donations go towards saving the historic Piper's Opera House. Ticket sales may be made by calling 775 847-0433 or at the door. | |

| This year's Nevada Civil War Volunteers Valentine's Ball, our annual fund raiser, is presented at a new location. Social hour and feasting from 5:30-6:30 PM followed by Victorian Dancing until the 10:00 PM. Dress is in Victorian or Dressy Western style. Admission is $5.00 per person. | |
