CALL TO
ORDER:
Commander Fred Grune called the meeting to
order at 6:59 PM. There were 14 members present.
MINUTES OF
PAST MEETING:
A motion made to accept them was approved.
STAFF
ELECTIONS:
The following individuals were elected to the
indicated positions. Ballots were distributed with
Tom Lynch acting as the auditor.
Commander:
Fred Grune
Inspector General:
Robert Burr (After a 7/7 tie with Lisa Wear,
a coin toss decided in Robert's favor).
Adjutant General:
Joanne Miller
Civilian Chief of Staff:
Paulette Grune
Confederate Chief of Staff:
Bud Miller
Union Chief of Staff:
Derrick Walls

Membership for Jim Prida:

OFFICER’S REPORTS:
COMMANDER:
Fred Grune – The Subject of Tom Hudson's
resignation was brought up. There was considerable
discussion in an effort to be certain that the
resignation was from the post of Inspector General
and not from the club. After things were clarified
Derrick made the motion to accept the
resignation, the motion was passed.
INSPECTOR
GENERAL:
Tom
Hudson, absent. – No Report
ADJUTANT
GENERAL:
Joanne Miller –A report on the balance of the
club's funds was submitted.
CIVILIAN CHIEF
OF STAFF:
Paulette Grune – A date is trying to be
determine for going to the 4th Ward with the plaque,
hopefully in November.
CONFEDERATE
CHIEF OF STAFF:
Bud
Miller – No Report
UNION CHIEF OF
STAFF:
Tom Lynch – Received a letter from Barbara
White concerning a gentleman who felt that a
disclaimer was needed for the website. Apparently
this gentleman had arrived at Fort Churchill on
Sunday after most of the camp had left. After a
brief discussion at the meeting the consensus was
that a disclaimer was not necessary.
UNFINISHED
BUSINESS:
Louise McConnell gave a
report concerning the success of the
Bowers Mansion
event.
Kathy Lynch gave a report
concerning the Governor's Mansion and
Piper's Opera
House.
Bill
McConnell in correspondence
with past members Jacque and Hal Hagan
learned that they may be moving back to the area,
possibly Fernley.
Paulette brought up the
subject of the Holiday Social, suggesting that
unless anyone would prefer a different location that
her and Fred's place would be fine. Since several
members would be out of state during the month of
December it was determined that January 5, 2008
would be a more agreeable date. The subject of side
dishes at Styx' BBQ was also mentioned, it was
determined that a sign up sheet for food items was
unnecessary as long as
NEW BUSINESS:
Tom
Lynch mentioned that he
had spoke with Bill Benson who plans on
having an reenactment of the opening of Piper's
Opera House,
possibly sometime in March 2008.
Russ
mentioned that he still had a considerable amount of gun
powder at his house. Fred agreed to a division of the
powder to be made amongst several individuals.
POINTS FOR THE
GOOD OF THE ORDER:
Carley
made the motion to adjourn,
Derrick
seconded. It passed and the meeting adjourned at
8:10 PM.
